Bloomington Medical Services, an affiliate of Wooster Community Hospital, is seeking a Medical Coder to join our Revenue Cycle team.

Responsibilities:
• Review, abstract, and assign CPT/HCPC and ICD-10 codes for BMS clinic visits and hospital services
• Assist the Revenue Cycle team with timely and compliant billing
• Collaborate with providers, practice managers, and COO to resolve coding and billing questions
• Maintain coding credentials and stay current on industry guidelines
• Research unpaid claims and resolve credit balances

Requirements:
• Training/certification from an accredited coding/billing program; must be certified upon hire or within 3 months
• Preferred: 3 years’ experience in medical office billing
• Working knowledge of computers, billing software, and Excel
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
