Since 1995, the Viola Startzman Clinic has provided healthcare and hope to residents of Wayne County, Ohio and surrounding communities. Manned by a small but caring team of 20 staff and over 400 volunteers, the clinic serves roughy 10,000 patients each year. We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where patients receive high quality care regardless of income, insurance, social status or lifestyle. The VSC is accredited as a Rural Health Clinic. We provide primary care medical services (acute, chronic and preventative care), psychiatric nurse practitioner services, reproductive healthcare, general dentistry services, and select specialty services such as dermatology, infectious disease, physical therapy and several others. Additionally, we offer robust wrap around services for patients who need a little extra help. These services include medication assistance programs, case management, behavioral healthcare services and care coordination. We have onsite food pharmacies, a medication dispensary and patient resource rooms to meet the comprehensive needs of our patients. The clinic serves anyone needing high quality, comprehensive health care. We accept most insurances and have a generous sliding fee scale to assist those who have challenges affording healthcare services. This makes care for qualifying patients free or low cost depending on their household income. The VSC is able to do this because of the generous support of our community, grants from wonderful foundations, United Way, and many churches and businesses who support us financially.
