What an incredible evening of inspiration and community! ✨

Last night, the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Wayne and Holmes Counties had the privilege of attending the 2025 Wayne County ATHENA Awards. It was truly an honor to be in the room with so many past recipients and to witness the celebration of this year's honorees.

We want to send a huge congratulations to the Young Professional ATHENA recipient, Lexi Nussbaum, and the ATHENA Award recipient, Jessica Franklin!

It was especially meaningful to celebrate Jessica, who serves as the Director of Clinical Operations at Startzman Clinic. Jessica is not only a recent recipient of our Board's 2025 Beacon Award, but she also plays a leadership role in the Community Health Worker Initiative, a vital partnership between our agencies that helps connect our community’s most vulnerable populations to care.

Thank you to the Wayne County Women’s Network for an impactful night of recognizing strong, compassionate leadership.

It might be a bit of a throwback, but we're still energized about the successful Ribbon Cutting on October 21st that officially launched a vital new partnership in Orrville!

The Startzman Clinic and Community Action Wayne/Medina have teamed up to bring free outreach services to the Orrville community, made possible through the support of the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Wayne and Holmes Counties.

We were honored to have Commissioner Jonathan Hofstetter join the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce to mark this important moment!

🗓️ Services are OPEN TODAY!
While we love celebrating the launch, the most important thing is that these services are available right now!

TODAY is Tuesday, which means the facility is open. If you or someone you know needs support, please stop by.

📍 Where: 5 Voices, 516 W. High Street, Orrville, OH ⏰ When: Every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (first-come, first-served)

💖 Services Available Include:
The new outreach site offers comprehensive, confidential support:

Mental Health and Medical Care (including Psychiatric services)
Housing Assistance
Access to Food Resources and SNAP applications
Substance Use Recovery connections
Employment and job readiness support
Utility Assistance and Transportation support

Childcare Referrals and Clothing/Hygiene resources
