As a youth-serving organization, we see every week how access barriers impact adolescents’ mental health. ORC 5122.04 is a small but essential protection that allows a young person to receive short-term support when parental consent is unavailable or unsafe.

HB 172 would remove this access point entirely.

Our team is monitoring the bill closely because of its direct implications for the youth we serve across Wayne and Holmes Counties. I encourage anyone who works with or cares about young people to review NASW’s alert and contact your legislators to oppose HB 172. Your voice matters in safeguarding timely, life-stabilizing mental-health access for vulnerable adolescents.

Thank You, Team — and Community!

Our staff recently came together to fill the shelves of Anazao’s Caring Closets with generous grocery donations — and the results were inspiring!

Thanks to everyone’s contributions, we were able to:
- Stock Caring Closets at both Wooster offices (with more items heading to our Millersburg office this week)
- Assemble “Meal Bags” with enough to feed two to four people
- Donate remaining items to local shelters, extending the impact even further

These small acts of generosity make a big difference for our clients and community. 🩵

If you or someone you know could use a little extra help:
- You’re welcome to take what you need directly from the Caring Closets at our East and West offices.
- If a Meal Bag would help, simply ask an Anazao partner — we’ll gladly make sure one gets to you.

As colder months approach, we hope to keep our Caring Closets stocked and available for anyone in need. If you’d like to help, we’re gratefully accepting donations of shelf-stable foods — canned soups, pasta, peanut butter, cereals, and similar items are especially appreciated.

Donations can be dropped off at any Anazao office during regular hours. Together, we can help keep our community well this winter.

Today we pause to honor the men and women who have served in our nation’s Armed Forces. Their commitment, sacrifice, and resolve embody the very values that strengthen communities and safeguard the freedoms we often take for granted.

At Anazao, our work is grounded in compassion, service, and standing alongside individuals in their moments of greatest need. On this day, we recognize the veterans in our community whose dedication reflects those same principles. May we continue to build a world where every person who has served feels supported, valued, and connected.

To all veterans—thank you for your service and your enduring contribution to our shared well-being.

When it comes to your child’s mental health, you don’t have to do it alone. 💛
Small, steady actions at home, paired with support from teachers and therapists, can make a big difference.

Our team shares simple, practical ways parents can help kids build emotional strength and stability this school year.

As colder months approach, many local families face added challenges—rising heating costs, transportation barriers, and limited access to essential goods.

In response, Anazao Community Partners is collecting monetary donations and shelf-stable food or hygiene items to support families experiencing basic-needs instability this winter.

Donations can be dropped off at any of our office locations during business hours.
Examples include:

Canned goods, pasta, rice, and cereal

Peanut butter and other shelf-stable foods

Toiletries and hygiene items

All items should be new and unopened. Monetary donations will be directed to trusted local partners providing emergency assistance.

This is a non-political, community-minded effort to live out our mission of care and connection.

If you can help, please do. If you are in need, please reach out.

Together, we can make this winter a little warmer for everyone. 💙

Coaches, mentors, and therapists all help us reach our goals.

Don't let anyone tell you that seeking support makes you weak. It makes you stronger.

Let’s change the stigma together! Like this post if you or someone you know got stronger through therapy.
