We are pleased to have recently welcomed a new member to our Board of Trustees! We wanted to introduce ๐๐บ๐ถ๐น๐ ๐๐น๐๐ด๐๐๐ผ๐ป. We are so honored to have her as a board member. Below we asked Emily a few questions so you can get to know her better.

CCHOโs mission is deeply personal for me. For more than four decades, my parents opened their home and hearts to children who needed a place to call home, many with special needs. They nurtured every child in faith and embraced them fully as part of the family from the moment they arrived.
That legacy of care and advocacy continues in my own life. In 2021, my foster sister of 40 years came to live with my husband and me. We feel truly blessed to be able to care for her in our home. Iโve witnessed firsthand how the right support can be truly transformative. Everyone, no matter their circumstances, deserves a strong advocate in their corner. And everyone, regardless of ability, has the power to bring light and love to the world around them. Itโs this belief rooted in my familyโs lifelong commitment that drew me to join the board and support CCHOโs life-changing work.

I really enjoy being a board member at CCHO because I get to help carry forward the same kind of Christ-centered care that shaped my own family.
Itโs incredibly rewarding to see the organization provide trauma-informed residential care, foster support, and spiritual nurturing to children who have been through so much. Knowing that our work helps heal deep wounds, builds family-like relationships, and points kids toward hope in Christ brings me great joy.
