Every year we look forward to one of our favorite Wooster events, Window Wonderland! This year we brought two reindeer friends and passed out 500 light-up reindeer noses! We love our community, and we are so grateful to Main Street Wooster for making this magical night possible!

Every day we are faced with lies. Many of these lies attack the very essence of who we are...our identity as a child of God. Because of the trauma kids at CCHO have endured, they are facing constant lies and attacks on their worth. The best way to battle lies is to know the TRUTH. The more you know about WHO you are in Christ the easier it becomes to distinguish lies from truth.

Join us in celebrating our October Employee of the Month for our Children’s Residential Center—Courtney Cain. Courtney serves as a treatment specialist in our young girls cottage. She was nominated by her peers for her dedication and effectiveness as a treatment specialist. She is praised for being supportive of her teammates, her ability to connect with the residents while maintaining structure, and contributing to a positive culture. Courtney is consistent regardless of what each day or situation brings. She is a valuable member of the CRC team! Thank you for all you do, Courtney! Congratulations!

We are proud to announce our President & CEO, 𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝘄𝗶𝘁𝘁, is the recipient of the 2025 Coalition of Residential Excellence (CORE) Administrator of the Year Catherine Hershey Award! Under Kevin’s leadership, CCHO and our family of ministries has grown from a small “mom and pop shop” into a highly professional organization. Kevin has intentionally built a culture that reflects our purpose: To Help More People Experience Their Worth in Christ.

Last Friday, we welcomed this incredible group of students from Kingsway Christian School! They helped paint the pasture fencing and they brought joy to the campus while they painted, playing Christmas music, singing and greeting everyone with a smiling face. Thank you, Kingsway, for braving the cold and adding beauty and cheer to our campus ❤️

So today we show you one of our campus feline friends: Miles! Miles enjoys soaking in the warm sunshine and saying hi to our campus kiddos and guests. A simple moment of connection with our feline friend can make an impact for a child at CCHO 💕

𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆!
𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗯 was recently discharged from CCHO after an incredible journey of healing. When he first arrived last year, he was angry, hurt, and struggled to trust—especially women. He dealt with severe feelings of abandonment and low self-worth. Over time, our team, especially Amanda, patiently built a bond with him and helped him begin to trust again. Caleb did not like to be vulnerable and so would discretely ask for Amanda at bedtime. She’d read him a story-while giving him head scratches, then tuck him in like a burrito.

But Caleb still had a strong sense of abandonment. Never fully trusting staff and not allowing them to get too close. He would not accept a hug from Amanda. Ever.

Caleb recently learned a foster home had been found for him. He came back from a visit full of wonder, amazement, and excitement. He had a sparkle in his eyes again. It was like a river of life began to flow through his body. The biggest milestone came when Caleb, for the first time in over a year, asked Amanda for a hug. That simple moment showed just how far he’s come. Amanda says, "A year and a half later...and he finally trusted me!" It just took consistent care, patience and love.

Caleb is learning to trust, to love, and to be loved. We’re so proud of his courage and growth! And so excited for his future with a loving foster home ❤️
