MOCA House Program- Open Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. This peer drop-in recovery center, located at 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, Ohio, is dedicated to reducing isolation and offers daily recovery topics. Activities include discussion groups, educational opportunities, games, crafts, and movies. Free van transportation to and from MOCA House Program is available for Wayne and Holmes County residents by calling 330-264-1590. Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) Support Group - Meets every Monday, 1:00-2:00 p.m. This group also meets weekly on Zoom on Monday evening at 5:00 p.m. Join us for this peer-based support group for people living with mood disorders. We are here to assist, encourage and enable each other in helping ourselves. At our meetings, people are able to share experiences, personal feelings, information, and strategies for living successfully with mood disorders. Peer Support Group - Meets every Thursday, 2:00-3:00 p.m. This lively discussion group offers peer to peer support in a relaxed setting for individuals with mental health issues. WRAP® Workshop - In this six-week Wellness Recovery Action Plan® Workshop, participants who have mental health challenges are taught how to list their personal resources, how to use those resources to develop their own action plans to use in specific situations; and as a result, develop their own coping skills. Wellness Recovery Action Plan® (WRAP) Support Group - Meets every Friday at 2:00 p.m. Open to anyone who has completed the WRAP Workshop and wants to follow up with on-going support. Various wellness topics are chosen by participants, and coping skills are discussed. May at times be replaced by a Workshop when in session. Writing for Wellness - Currently taking a break for the summer. We explore poetry, short stories and fun exercises in written creativity. Communication and sharing of ideas welcomed. No experience necessary! NAMI Family Support Group - Meets first Tuesday of each month, 6:30-8 p.m. This support group is specifically for adult family members who have a relative with a mental illness. Join families, just like yours, to gain insight, information and understanding. People Affected by a Loved one’s Suicide (PALS) - This suicide survivors support group meets fourth Tuesday of each month, 5:30-7 p.m. PALS is a grief support group offering encouragement and education to those who suffer from the loss of a loved one by suicide. NAMI Family to Family Educational Program - This 8-week program meets once a week for 2 1/2 hours each class and is facilitated by family members who share knowledge and practical insights for family or friends of an adult with a mental illness. NAMI Basics - This six-week educational program is taught by family members who offer information and tips to parents or guardians of a child or adolescent with a mental illness.
