Heather is a 34 y/o endurance bad ass! This woman has been finding different ways to push her body to the limits for years now. Formerly a rugby teammate of Sarah's she now runs marathons, Spartan Ultras, Ruck Races, and more! Basically anytime she hears about a challenge that would make most of us run for cover Heather thinks "Hell Ya Why Not?!"💪

That being said it hasn't come without a price! Heather is very health conscious and has even become a personal trainer on the side recently (she really does it all), but even with the best of intentions we all need help sometimes. Heather was experiencing new pain in her knee 🦵and a flare up of some chronic foot pain 🦶 she has dealt with over the years.

Meghan is a 41 y/o bad ass mom of 2 who has been doing Crossfit for almost 3 years now and came to us with some issues holding her back from making progress in her workouts.

Meghan has been dealing with some pelvic floor issues since the birth of both of her babies👶👶-it's no easy feat bringing another human life into this world after all! She has also suffered from lower back pain for a long time.

At Clash we take a total body approach to treating pain and dysfunction-even pelvic floor. We were able to identify some issues with Meghan's foot function and core/pelvic stability that was contributing to her symptoms and holding her back from the gains she was trying to achieve at the gym. 🏋

We were able to come up with a progressive personalized program to address her specific deficits, lifestyle, and goals. After working together for a few months she has made MASSIVE progress.💪💪 Meghan has almost no symptoms at this time and has been able to achieve her goal of body weight pull ups for multiple reps over multiple rounds!! 👏 How many people do you know who can even do that?!

🚽 Always feeling like you have to p*e? 😩 You're not alone—and no, it's not just “having a small bladder.”

Frequent bathroom trips and urgency are often caused by mixed signals between your brain and bladder. The more often you go “just in case,” the more your body starts to expect that urgency—and the cycle continues. 🚨

Good news: this is treatable, and it doesn’t always mean medications or surgery. Most of the time, behavioral changes are your first line of defense. That includes:
👉 Training your bladder to wait longer between trips
👉 Identifying and avoiding bladder irritants like coffee ☕, alcohol 🍷, carbonated drinks 🥤, and artificial sweeteners
👉 Staying hydrated (yes, being dehydrated can actually make urgency worse!)

But here’s the thing—if you ALSO leak when you laugh, sneeze, or exercise (aka stress incontinence)… there’s likely pelvic floor dysfunction in the mix too. Often times pelvic floor dysfunction that causes incidents of stress incontinence can lead to behaviors that then cause an urgency issue as well. In that case, you need a multifaceted approach: addressing your muscles, nervous system, and bladder behavior.

Meet Mike, a 36-year-old avid marathon runner who just completed the Boston Marathon without a single injury or ounce of pain—and we couldn’t be more pumped for him!

TEAMWORK TUESDAY!!

At Clash Physical Therapy & Health Services, we believe in the power of community and the importance of a supportive environment in achieving health and fitness goals. That's why we're proud to support , a local fitness center that embodies these values.

Located at 280 Shrewsbury Street in Boylston, MA, Team Lift offers a well-equipped, clean environment where individuals with diverse fitness objectives come together to improve their health.
