"Every transition is an invitation to release the past with gratitude and embrace the future with curiosity. In the bittersweet dance of letting go and stepping forward, we find growth and grace."
As many are aware, I recently completed my Master’s Degree and am stepping into my new career as a mental health counselor. In my training, I’ve found so much joy and purpose in this work, and I couldn’t be more excited to begin a full-time job at an outpatient clinic next week!
With this transition, I intend to take several steps back from my role as a yoga teacher during the initial phase of my new career. My intention is to prioritize my work/life balance and my own mental health while immersing myself in a career that I have already found through my training to be very energetically demanding.
Being a yoga teacher has become such a core part of my identity, and has given me so much. I used to be terrified of public speaking, but when I’m teaching, I feel such a state of flow, grace, and peace wash over me. To me, yoga is not just a place for us to do poses, but a place to care for our minds and a place for heart work. I feel so honored that so many of you have entrusted your space and energy with me. I’ve connected with so many beautiful people and heard so many incredible stories of your strength, courage, and healing.
This is NOT a retirement from teaching yoga, but rather a semi-hiatus to give myself grace during a transitional period. 🖤 To keep my teaching muscles fresh, I will continue running Yoga in the Taproom every other Saturday at Tackle Box Brewing. I am also staying in the loop with the studios I have taught at, so hoping I will be able to make some guest appearances at Union Street Yoga, Common Ground Yoga, & Drift + Oak Yoga when I can!
Thank you for everything🖤 See you soon!
