Late one night, a patient arrived with a perforating globe injury — a rare and urgent emergency. Drs. Elizabeth Eshun (PGY3), senior resident Yanhan Ren (PGY4), and attending Dr. Priya Janardhana quickly assessed the need for surgery.

Though non-surgical, Dr. Janardhana called in reinforcements. Dr. Christopher Teng, our department chair, answered the call immediately and rushed in to staff the OR alongside our residents.

Dedication. Teamwork. Excellence — no matter the hour.

Let's hear it for our hardworking and super-dedicated Ophthalmology team!
