It’s Halloween month again! Have a spooky time but dont spook us with those costume contact lenses. They can cause real problems!

Wearing colored contact lenses without a prescription may seem harmless, but beware: Costume contacts can severely damage your eyes and even cause blindness if they're not fitted by an eye specialist.

Bustling ophthalmology practice seeking experienced ophthalmic technicians and scribes to join our team.

This individual is responsible for performing and accurately documenting patient work-ups including, but not limited to, visual acuity testing, manifest refraction, applanation tonometry, BAT testing, and pachymetry. Performing diagnostic testing including OCT, fundus photography, visual field testing, Pentacam topography, and IOLMaster. Perform patient telephone triage. Assist in minor office procedures and maintain patient flow throughout the clinic.

It is essential that the candidate demonstrates respect for staff and patients, and works well as part of a team in a fast paced environment. Ability to multitask is a must. Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail. Knowledge of basic medical and ophthalmic terminology, including common abbreviations. Proficient use of a computer and Electronic Medical Records.

JCAHPO Certification preferred but not required

We will be opening for extended office hours starting Monday, June 1, from 7AM to 7PM. During Phase 1 of the MA Reopening Plan, we are only seeing patients with chronic or vision threatening conditions, new changes in vision, or urgent visits. We will need to wait until Phase 2 to start performing routine eye exams. Please be patient. We are doing our best to keep everyone safe.

We are doing our utmost to protect patients and staff, including pre-visit screenings, modified office flow, diligent hand-hygiene, masking, air filtration, and minimizing contact time in the office. Telemedicine is encouraged during this time, so you may find yourself being offered a telemedicine visit. This is for your safety. If we need to bring you in to the office in person, we will do so. Some new and high-technology additions you will notice are virtual check-ins with our staff prior to your in-person visit, online bill-pay, as well as emailed pre-visit paperwork.
