Adult & Teen Challenge Massachusetts - Worcester

Adult & Teen Challenge Massachusetts - Worcester Adult & Teen Challenge Worcester is a long-term faith-based recovery program for men.

A central focus of Adult & Teen Challenge is the voluntary, long term (15 month) residential recovery program that provides the context for a transformational experience during which the students find freedom from their addictions. While they are enrolled in the recovery program, they earn General Equivalency Diplomas (if they are not high school graduates); have service opportunities learning job and life skills that will help them become productive citizens: serve their communities through their lives and are surrounded by a nurturing environment that fosters caring relationships.

~Acts 2:46
“They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved”.

~Psalm 56:8
“You’ve kept track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.”

We were blessed to have Pastor Esteban Carrasco of Iglesia Casa de Destino (House of Destiny) share a message with the men of the Worcester Center that touched their heart in a way that left the men shedding tears of breakthrough.

God is crushing the stigma that teaches men not to cry.

Tyler’s addiction began quietly. What started with small compromises eventually spiraled into a full op**te dependency that cost him his marriage, his stability, and nearly his future. When everything collapsed, he came to Adult and Teen Challenge, where God restored his life and set him on a solid foundation.

Morgan’s journey was marked by trauma, homelessness, and years of addiction. At her lowest moment, ready to give up, she felt God whisper that her life still had purpose. She came to the Southern New England Women’s Home and found healing, freedom, and hope she never thought possible.

Today, Tyler and Morgan are married, sober, serving at Adult and Teen Challenge, and building a life rooted in faith, stability, and purpose. Their story is living proof that God can redeem the deepest brokenness.

Our Dollar a Day campaign helps make transformations like theirs possible. Just one dollar a day provides the long-term, Christ-centered care that leads to lasting change.

Eric’s addiction began in high school and slowly escalated from weekend drinking to daily pills, then he**in. His life unraveled through arrests, overdoses, and the heartbreak of watching friends die from the same choices he was making. In 2016 he walked through the doors of Adult & Teen Challenge, surrendered his life to God, and everything changed. He rebuilt his faith, found purpose, and eventually joined our staff, serving with the gifts God restored in him. In addition to being the head of IT & Graphics, Eric enjoys helps ministries and Christian artists with their media production.

Sara’s journey was marked by trauma, abuse, addiction, and deep pain. Years of searching for relief led her into dangerous relationships and he**in use that nearly took her life. After being freed from an abusive situation, she entered Adult & Teen Challenge in 2015. There she encountered God’s love, found healing from her past, earned her GED, and rebuilt her life on a foundation of hope. She is a director of a program overseeing the care of adults with disabilities.

Today, Eric and Sara are married, sober, thriving, and serving others with compassion. Their story is living proof that no life is too broken for God to restore.

Our Dollar a Day campaign helps make transformations like theirs possible. Just one dollar a day provides long-term, Christ-centered care that leads to lasting freedom.
