Curious about your hearing? As we get older, we are at risk for hearing loss. We don’t know what we can’t hear and often blame others around us for mumbling. Just like when you get “nose blind” to an awful smell in a room the longer you stay there, your brain will turn off the parts responsible for hearing that are not used. If this goes on chronically, you will never get them back. There is even a direct connection between hearing loss and Alzheimer’s Disease. Catching hearing loss early is vital. Here’s a cool app to test your hearing at home. It’s free. If you don’t do well, speak to your doctor about getting a professional hearing test done.
