💙 It Takes a Team—and We’re So Proud of Ours 💙

At Oasis at Dodge Park, exceptional care doesn’t happen because of one person—it happens because of everyone. Our nurses, CNAs, activities team, dining staff, housekeeping, administration, and leadership all work side by side, every single day, with one shared goal: providing the best possible care and quality of life for our residents.

Collaboration here isn’t a buzzword. It’s how we communicate, how we problem-solve, how we support one another, and how we ensure that every resident is truly known, respected, and cared for.

To our incredible team: thank you for your teamwork, your compassion, and your commitment. We see you, we appreciate you, and we are so grateful for all that you do. đŸ’«

Progress Isn’t Always Forward—and That’s OK

In dementia care, progress doesn’t always look like steady improvement. Some days feel brighter and more connected; other days feel quieter, slower, or more challenging. And that’s not failure—it’s the reality of a condition that doesn’t move in a straight line.

At Dodge Park Rest Home and Oasis at Dodge Park, we understand that meaningful care isn’t measured by constant forward motion. It’s measured by how we respond when the road bends. A day that includes reassurance instead of activity, comfort instead of conversation, or presence instead of productivity is still a good day—because it meets the person where they are.

Dementia can bring fluctuations in mood, awareness, and engagement. A resident who was lively yesterday may be more withdrawn today, and then reconnect tomorrow. Our care teams are trained to recognize these changes and adjust—not with frustration, but with patience, compassion, and deep respect for each individual’s needs in that moment.

We celebrate progress in many forms: a smile during music, calm during a previously anxious moment, a familiar routine that brings peace, or simply feeling safe and understood. These moments matter. They are real. And they are often the most meaningful signs of quality care.

At Dodge Park and Oasis at Dodge Park, we don’t rush the journey or force expectations. We walk alongside our residents and families with empathy, consistency, and heart—knowing that even when progress pauses or takes a step back, dignity, comfort, and connection always move forward.

Joyful moments are more than just smiles—they're powerful tools that support cognitive health. Activities like music, art, and gentle exercise spark connection, reduce anxiety, and nurture the mind.

At Oasis at Dodge Park, we create these meaningful experiences every day to help our residents feel engaged and valued. What joyful activity brightens your loved one's day?

Adopt-A-Solo-Ager Program
at Dodge Park and The Oasis at Dodge Park

Because Every Senior Deserves Connection

Across the United States, a growing number of older adults are living alone, unmarried, and without adult children nearby — a group often described as solo agers. According to recent reporting, more than 22 million older Americans fall into this category, and many struggle with rising costs and limited social support.

In response to this trend, we are proud to introduce the Adopt-A-Solo-Ager Program — a community companionship initiative designed to bring meaningful social engagement into the lives of local seniors who might otherwise experience extended periods of isolation.

How the program works:

Each of our communities adopts one or two local seniors who live alone.

Participants are invited for scheduled visits focused on conversation, activities, and friendship.

When visits align with lunchtime, participants are welcome to join the community for a shared meal — as part of the social experience, not the focus of the program.

This program is centered on connection, dignity, and community, and offers a warm environment where older adults can feel seen, heard, and genuinely valued.

📍 Participation is complimentary and space is limited.
📍 Transportation is not provided.

Balancing safety with independence might seem impossible at first—yet it's exactly what we achieve every day at Oasis at Dodge Park.

Our 24/7 supervision isn't about restricting freedom; it's about creating a safe space where residents can move confidently and live fully. With continuous nursing care and highly trained staff, we watch over every moment without turning care into confinement.

Take Mary, for example. Diagnosed with early-stage dementia, she loves her morning walks around our thoughtfully designed gardens. Thanks to our round-the-clock team and secure environment, she enjoys this independence safely—without feeling watched or limited.

This approach is more than supervision; it's about respecting each resident's individuality. Our personalized care plans evolve with their needs, ensuring support is in place before challenges arise. Our environment, from lighting to layout, is designed to guide and empower—not confine.

For families, this means peace of mind knowing their loved ones are protected yet still able to engage in daily joys they cherish. Independence and safety don't have to be at odds—they can coexist beautifully with the right care model.

How do you envision the balance between safety and independence for those you care about? At Oasis at Dodge Park, we're here to help make that vision a reality every day.

Dementia care is personal, not procedural, because no two individuals experience the disease in the same way. While clinical guidelines and safety protocols are essential, true dementia care goes beyond checklists and routines. It requires understanding a person’s life story, preferences, fears, and triggers, and responding with empathy, patience, and flexibility. What brings comfort to one person may cause distress to another, which is why meaningful dementia care is built on relationships, consistency, and human connection—not just tasks

Subject: Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dear Valued Employees, Customers and Supporters,

Today, as we commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we take a moment to reflect on the extraordinary legacy of a man who dedicated his life to the pursuit of justice, equality, and unity. Dr. King’s vision of a world where all people are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness continues to inspire us to build a more inclusive and compassionate society.

At Dodge Park and Oasis at Dodge Park, we strive to honor Dr. King’s ideals not just today, but every day. His message reminds us of the importance of kindness, understanding, and the power of community. It challenges us to think about how we can create a positive impact in the lives of others, no matter how small the gesture may seem.

As Dr. King so powerfully said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’” This question resonates deeply with our mission to provide exceptional care, support, and love to our residents and their families.

On this special day, let us all take a moment to reflect on how we can continue to embody his principles of love and service. Whether it’s by lending a helping hand, sharing a kind word, or simply listening with an open heart, every action we take can contribute to a better, more united world.

We are incredibly grateful to you, our customers, for being part of this journey with us. Together, we can honor Dr. King’s dream by fostering a spirit of hope, compassion, and unity in all that we do.

Wishing you a meaningful and inspiring Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Warm regards,

Micha Shalev
