Odd Fellows Home of Massachusetts is a non-profit, skilled nursing and rehabilitative care facility. What's in a name?

We know that our name sounds funny, but let us tell you a little bit about how the name came to be. Odd Fellows is historically significant dating all the way back to the 1700’s. The organization was founded on the “odd” idea of common men coming together to help those who are less fortunate. Over the years, Odd Fellows has grown into a network of formalized Lodges and Skilled Nursing Facilities, but our mission remains the same- Friendship, Love, and Truth. Here at Odd Fellows Home in Worcester we stand committed to improving and elevating the character of mankind. We have an excellent clinical team that continues to work diligently to correct and enhance any previous shortcomings. As our mission statement indicates, we aspire daily to meet and exceed expectations and provide the gold standard of quality care. As we continue to restructure and rebrand Odd Fellows Home to be the home away from home, we ask for your continued support and partnership in this journey. Our mission is to provide our residents with the finest skilled nursing and rehabilitative services. Dedicated to the basic tenets of Friendship, Love and Truth, our highly trained staff extends compassionate care in a comfortable and secure environment that affords a dignified, meaningful, active and enhanced quality of life.

Today, we celebrated a truly special milestone! 🎉

After more than 30 years on the OFH team, Dan from our Maintenance Department is officially retiring!

We honored Dan with a bee-themed retirement party—a perfect fit for an avid beekeeper who has generously shared the most wonderful honey with all of us over the years. 🍯🐝 His dedication, hard work, and kindness have made a lasting impact on our residents and staff alike.

Dan, thank you for three decades of service, friendship, and sweetness (in more ways than one!). We wish you a retirement filled with happiness, relaxation, and plenty of time with your bees. 💛

Today, we had a very special OFH celebration!
Jonah from our Maintenance team will soon be joining the U.S. Navy, and we couldn’t let him head off without showing how proud we are.
We gathered to share coffee and donuts, gifts, lots of well wishes, and a big posterboard signed by staff to send him off with encouragement and gratitude. Jonah has been such a dependable, kind presence here, and he will be truly missed.

🎉❄️ Happy Birthday, Elsie!❄️🎉

On Friday, we had the absolute joy of celebrating our amazing Assistant Director of Nursing, Elsie, and we just had to go ALL OUT!

Elsie is one of those rare people who truly lights up a room the moment she walks in. She is incredibly hardworking, endlessly caring, and always makes everyone else feel special—especially when she’s planning their birthday celebrations all year long 🎂

So this time, it was only right that we turned the tables and planned something extra magical just for her. Our Winter Wonderland “surprise” birthday party was a small way to say THANK YOU for everything she does for our residents, families, and team every single day. ❄️☃️

We hope you felt all the love, Elsie—you deserve it and so much more. ✨🩵

🎄✨Holiday Door Decorating Contest ✨🎄

Odd Fellows Home was filled with holiday cheer thanks to our amazing staff who participated in our Holiday Door Decorating Contest! The creativity and festive spirit made our halls extra bright this season ❤️

🏆 1st Place: Marcia, our Activities Director
Marcia wowed everyone with a cozy, home-inspired door featuring a beautiful fireplace scene—it truly felt like stepping into the holidays!

🥈 2nd Place: Nancy, our Administrative Assistant
Nancy’s door shined bright with a stunning Christmas tree design that captured classic holiday magic!

🥉 3rd Place: Zoraida, our Scheduler
Zoraida brought bold holiday flair with red wrapping paper and a creative white Christmas tree made entirely of streamers—so unique and festive!

Thank you to all the staff who participated and a BIG shout out to Susan Needle, the Vice President of the Board of Director for Odd Fellows Home! Susan came out to be our very special judge and vote for the winners! This contest was so much fun and got everyone in the Christmas spirit! We’re so grateful for this incredible team! 🎁❄️🎅

Last Friday, our team came together for a special staff party to celebrate some wonderful moments in our facility family! 💙

🎂 Happy Birthday to our amazing receptionist, Deb! Thank you for being the smiling face that greets everyone who walks through our doors!

💍 We also shared in the excitement of Karissa, our Director of Admissions/Marketing, on her recent engagement! Congratulations on this exciting new chapter!

🙌 And finally, we gave a warm welcome to Tim, our Director of Rehab! We’re thrilled to have you join our team and look forward to all the great things ahead.

✨🎄 Christmas Coffee House at Odd Fellows Home🎄✨

We had the best time at our Christmas Coffee House event this past weekend! ☕️

The dining room felt so cozy and festive—carolers were walking through singing all our favorite Christmas songs, the coffee was hot, the treats were delicious, and everyone was in great spirits!

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make this event so special. Happy Holidays! 🎅🏼✨
