Carlos came to Saint Francis Rehabilitation from Saint Vincent Hospital with significant shortness of breath and very limited mobility—initially walking only 3–5 feet and needing help with basic self-care. Through Physical and Occupational Therapy focused on walking, strength, transfers, and daily activities—plus breathing strategies and endurance training—he made steady progress. By discharge, Carlos was walking 100+ feet without stopping and completing all ADLs with renewed confidence.

A huge shoutout to Albert, who just officially graduated from Physical Therapy! 🎉

Just one year ago, he was starting rehab after surgery — and look at him now. His hard work, determination, and unwavering positivity helped him crush every challenge along the way.

We’re incredibly proud of you, Albert. What a difference a year can make! 🙌💪

🌟 A Special Shoutout to Lissette 🌟

Some people make the world brighter just by being themselves — and Lissette is one of those rare souls. Her compassion, gentleness, and genuine love for everyone she meets have brought comfort, joy, and connection to both our staff and participants at Saint Francis ADH.

For years, she has poured her heart into Life Enrichment and Transportation, consistently going above and beyond without ever seeking recognition.

This month, as she steps into her new role as our Sensory Specialist, we know she’ll continue creating moments of understanding, inclusion, and warmth for our diverse community.

Lissette, thank you for the light, patience, and care you bring into our program every single day. 💛✨

🐾 There’s nothing quite like a visit from our favorite gentle giant! 🐾

Every other Thursday, Saint Francis ADH gets a special treat when Hagrid, the Irish Wolfhound from Assisted Animal Therapy Services of MA, stops by with his wonderful handler, Gina.

Our participants absolutely light up when he walks through the door. There are plenty of smiles, snuggles, and joyful moments shared during his visits. His calm, comforting presence brings so much happiness to our community, and we’re so grateful to have him as part of our Saint Francis family.

At Saint Francis ADH, our participants & staff showed up in their comfiest PJs for a cozy & fun-filled day! We enjoyed a movie together, shared plenty of laughs, and of course… snacked on some delicious popcorn!

Saint Francis ADH had an unforgettable outing at Mechanics Hall yesterday!

Our participants enjoyed a midday jazz show by the talented 2Slick Jazz Band, all while relaxing with lunch right at our seats. Great music, good food, and even better company - the perfect combination for a wonderful afternoon!

Days like this remind us how special shared experiences can be.
