As we look back at all the hard work the Class of 2026 has done, we wanted to highlight their poster presentations from last semester! During the spring semester, the DPT2s worked with our BMW participants on their goals, and were able to demonstrate their clinical reasoning for specific interventions. Great work to our future PTs!

April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month, a time to honor the strength and resilience of individuals living with limb loss or congenital limb differences. 🌟 Last summer, four of our now DPT2 students had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at Camp No Limits, building confidence and connections with kids who inspire us every day. 💪 Learn more about the amazing work they do at nolimitsfoundation.org!

April is IPE Month, a celebration of the interprofessional education work our students partake in with other healthcare students on campus. These integrated experiences allow our students to learn how to provide optimal patient care while learning about what other healthcare professions can bring to the table in an interdisciplinary approach.

Did you know this week is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week, March 13 - 19? One million Americans have multiple sclerosis in the United States today. In fact, multiple sclerosis is the number 1 reason for non-traumatic disability in young adults. Students in the SOPT are responding to the call for more research that targets this population and just received word their research has been accepted to the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers annual conference. The title of their work: "College Students and Multiple Sclerosis: Developing a Toolkit for Academic Success" will take one more step forward in improving the quality of life for persons with MS. MS symptoms are variable and unpredictable. No two people have exactly the same symptoms, and each person’s symptoms can change or fluctuate over time this was the catalyst to create a toolkit for college students with MS.
