I am a Reiki Master offering healing sessions, crystal Reiki sessions, Reiki certification training, and intuitive coaching. I decided on this tag line based on the research I've done that led me to my business name, Vedic Bee Healing. "Bee" has many symbolic meanings, but the most important ones to me are… the bee is a carrier of pollen, sharing this pollen with both flowers, and the hive. The bee pollen, the honey, and the bees themselves, are all beneficial as holistic remedies to various ailments. And as the bee is carrying this healing & "spreading" it around, & in some cultures they are referred to as "divine messengers"… I also want to spread healing, & spread the ancient knowledge, the "message", where true healing began. As for the "Vedic" part of my name, "Vedic" comes from the word "Veda" which refers to sacred texts used in the ancient times of India, and also connects to "Ayurveda", which has the "ayurvedic texts". Both of them contain ancient knowledge. Vedic texts contain spiritual knowledge, while ayurvedic texts contain medicinal knowledge. Which points to how healing of the mind, body & spirit is more important than healing only the mind, or only the body, or only the spirit. Ayurvedic medicine is about balance & learning how to "adjust" the imbalances that can occur between the mind, body & spirit. It also teaches that an imbalance in any one of these areas can cause issues in the other areas. For instance, if there is an imbalance in the mind or in the spirit, it can manifest as physical illness. In treating the whole person (not just the physical body like Western medicine teaches), it can improve any of the three areas where an imbalance may be occurring, therefore improving the overall health of the patient. Ayurvedic medicine does this by taking a holistic approach consisting of plant-based medicines & treatments, like the use of cinnamon as an anti-inflammatory, or the use of cardamom to break up kidney stones & tuberculosis (do NOT use this information as medical advice, and discuss with your doctor any/all holistic treatments you receive in conjunction with your primary physician). While Ayurvedic medicine takes a holistic approach to your health, it is not intended to be your only source of medical advice or treatment. However, it can work well in conjunction with the advice & treatments of your medical health care team. Ayurveda employs the belief that our health can be improved, and certain diseases/disorders treated, by using things you see growing from the earth, and by things you may even have in your kitchen cupboard at this very moment. Imagine if something as simple as cinnamon oil could replace your prescription arthritis medication… or reduce the amount needed? There would be fewer side effects, if any at all, compared to all of the possible side effects from our current western medicine treatments. "Ancient knowledge" means using the ideas & teachings of those who were among the first known healers… when healing was just pure healing. There was no Western medicine, no Eastern medicine, just healing. So that is my goal… using both Reiki and Ayurvedic medicine, I want to "spread the healing" like a bee spreading its pollen. I want to accomplish this by using the most natural of medicines… those provided by the earth, & those used by healers since the beginning of time. I want to share the ancient wisdom of healing, back when it was simply that… just healing. Coming in 2014/2015: Ayurvedic medicine
