Prairietown Fire Department Our mission is to support our fire district and bring our community together.

It is the mission of the Prairietown Fire Department to protect the lives and property of the residents in the Prairie Fire Protection District from natural or manmade hazards and medical emergencies through supression, fire prevention education, and firefighter training. The Prairietown Fire Department supports the Prairie Fire Protection District by providing additional funding generated through the fund raising efforts of volunteers. The volunteers take part in a number of fund raising projects throughout the year which include our annual homecoming festival.

Please refrain from any burning until we have significant amounts of rain. It is very dry and everything is going to go up very quickly. Also farmers as requested before have a tractor and tillage wquipment hooked up and ready to roll just in case.

This evening I stopped by the Prairietown Fire Department to present a check for $9,170 from the When I'm 64 Beatles Festival on September 6. The firefighters were delighted! funds will be used for ongoing upgrades to equipment.
We are grateful for the bands who performed, for all of our volunteers, for those who made a donation, and especially for the men and women of the Prairietown Fire Department. They were great to work with at the festival. More importantly, they provide valuable emergency services to our community.
Looking forward to September 19, 2026. When I'm 64 #12. All Beatles. All day.

Seeking the communities help. As harvest approaches and we remain dry please refrain from burning. Also farmers it may not be a bad idea to have a tractor hooked up to a tillage tool in case something of yours or a neighbor needs help in a situation.

Our food vendors are set and ready to serve. You can bring your own food, as well. If you want to grill, please do that in the parking lot. Lots of good eatin' here! See you Saturday in Prairietown. All Beatles. All day. Make a donation to the Prairietown Fire Department. Music starts at noon.
