Prairietown Fire Department

Prairietown Fire Department Our mission is to support our fire district and bring our community together.

It is the mission of the Prairietown Fire Department to protect the lives and property of the residents in the Prairie Fire Protection District from natural or manmade hazards and medical emergencies through supression, fire prevention education, and firefighter training. The Prairietown Fire Department supports the Prairie Fire Protection District by providing additional funding generated through the fund raising efforts of volunteers. The volunteers take part in a number of fund raising projects throughout the year which include our annual homecoming festival.

It’s Homecoming Weekend….

We would like to thank in advance these groups for running the food and bingo stands

Bingo: Prairietown Improvement Association

Food: St. John’s UCC (Youth Group) also Alton Sportsman Club.

Drinks: Prairie Youth 4H

And of course our Desert Ladies: St. John’s UCC Midway.

Firemen and Women are still manning the beer stand.

Almost forgot. The Prairietown Parade group…
This group of people have the most positive energy year round. The Parade would not be the same without them. And very creative thinkers!
