🌟 Health Center Spotlight Series: Conneaut Valley Health Center 🌟

Conneaut Valley Health & Dental Center, located in Conneautville, PA, is part of an independent community health system dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services. With a focus on patient-centered care, the center offers a range of services including primary care, gynecology, and advanced surgical options utilizing state-of-the-art technology. In addition to its medical services, Conneaut Valley Health emphasizes wellness and preventive care, featuring programs led by registered dietitians and various community health initiatives.

Interesting Fact: In 2018, the Conneaut Valley Health building burned down. In a gracious act of support, Sharon Hospital provided an extra RV to serve as a temporary medical site. The team later moved into a larger trailer set up in the parking lot, where a picnic table served as the waiting room. In 2020—just as the COVID-19 pandemic began—a brand-new facility opened its doors, thoughtfully designed to allow for future expansion. Today, it stands as one of five rural health clinics within the Titusville Area Hospital network, a subsidiary of Meadville Medical Center.

On Tuesday, Caitlin Wilkinson, Career Center Director, joined Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers as they celebrated the formal signing of a clinical affiliation agreement with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine! This collaboration will help build a pipeline of future physicians who are from rural communities and are more likely to practice in rural communities at the conclusion of their training.

At the signing, WMCHC also welcomed their first class of Family Medicine Residents, who began their training on July 1. Remarks at the signing event were made by Erica Brown, WMCHC Chief Development Officer; Dr. Richard Hacker, WMCHC Residency Program Director; Teresa Lacey, WMCHC Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ryan Smith, IUP Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and Graduate Medical Education, Dr. Miko Rose, IUP Founding Dean, and Derek Williams, Mayor of Honesdale.

In 2023 alone, CHCs operated:
