On Thursday, four of our Bristol residents will travel together to Washington, D.C. as part of Mission 145 with Honor Flight Columbus, Inc. This unforgettable journey will take them to the service and war memorials built in their honor, offering a chance to reflect, remember, and be celebrated.

We are so proud of our residents and grateful to Honor Flight Columbus for providing this life-changing experience. Thank you also to 10TV - WBNS for shining a spotlight on their story and honoring their service.

On Thursday, they will travel together to Washington D.C. to visit their service and war memorials, as part of Mission 145.

What a wonderful day at our 2nd Annual Country Rock & Rib Fest! 🎶🍖 With live tunes from Burning Diesel, mouthwatering ribs with all the fixins', and a dunk tank challenge for a great cause, we had an absolute blast! Huge thanks for your support – CRD Emily took the plunge, and Exec. Dir. Ed was lured in with a generous donation! 💦☀️ The sun was shining and spirits were high as we raised funds for the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter!

We enjoyed a visit from Worthington Kilbourne High School’s Roots and Shoots class for a ceramics activity. Julie, resident Kathy W.’s daughter, is the ceramics teacher and brought several student helpers. This was the first of a series of classes to make, paint and finish a woodland creature.

🍽️ At this month’s dinner outing, residents enjoyed a delightful evening at Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse! The sizzling sounds of the grill and the chef’s incredible skill made it an unforgettable dining experience. 🥩🔥 Delicious food, lively atmosphere, and a feast for the eyes!

🍓👨‍🍳 Yesterday was a berry delicious day! Our talented Chef Bob wowed the residents with a spectacular cooking demo, whipping up a mouthwatering mixed berry cobbler that had everyone craving more! 🫐 The aroma filled the air and smiles were everywhere.

Embracing creativity fuels healthy aging! Today, our residents had a wonderful time in September’s fine art class with The Community Studio. They dove into the world of charcoal sketching, mastering the art of shading a majestic horse. 🐴

Today was an exciting day at The Bristol! 🎥 We were honored to welcome Stacia Naquin, news anchor with 10TV - WBNS, who visited to interview four of our remarkable residents preparing for an upcoming Honor Flight.

Bill O., a WWII veteran, along with Gene H., Phil W., and Bill F., who all served prior to 1961, will take part in Mission 145 to Washington, D.C., on September 25. Each of them also met their volunteer guardians, who will accompany them on this unforgettable journey to honor their service and sacrifice.

Channel 10 will air the interview just a few days before the flight—be sure to tune in! We are so proud of our residents and grateful for the opportunity to celebrate their courage and dedication to our country. 🇺🇸❤️
