Occasional foot or ankle soreness after activity is common—but when pain lingers, it could signal something more serious like a stress fracture. ❌

Stress fractures are small cracks in the bone often caused by overuse or repetitive impact. They can worsen if ignored.

👉 Know the warning signs:
• Pain that increases with activity but improves with rest
• Swelling or tenderness in a specific area
• Difficulty putting weight on the foot

If you’re experiencing persistent soreness, don’t push through the pain. Early evaluation is the key to faster healing and preventing long-term damage. 💙

Chronic ankle arthritis can make even simple daily activities painful. 😣 When conservative treatments like bracing, medications, or injections no longer provide relief, ankle replacement surgery may be an option.

At OFAC, our physicians use advanced surgical techniques to replace the damaged joint with an implant that restores movement and reduces pain.

Benefits of ankle replacement can include:
✔️ Improved mobility
✔️ Pain reduction
✔️ Preserved motion in the ankle joint
✔️ Better quality of life

If ankle pain is interfering with your ability to walk, exercise, or enjoy life, talk to our team about whether ankle replacement could be the right solution for you. 💙
