🩺Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are battle-tested providers.

🪖Since World War I, nurse anesthetists have been the main providers of anesthesia care to U.S. military personnel on the front lines. Nurses first provided anesthesia to wounded soldiers during the Civil War and remain the primary anesthesia providers in austere combat theaters. In fact, CRNAs most commonly are the only anesthesia providers in the military’s forward surgical teams. CRNAs’ care is high-quality and safe, even in the most stressful and emergent situations, as in any active duty military circumstance.

💙🤍❤️To all our military CRNAs past and present: On behalf of PANA, happy Veteran’s Day and thank you for your service and sacrifice!

Meet an Indigenous CRNA making a difference in tribal health care. 🌿💪🏽

Rooted in Muscogee Creek heritage, Brittany Harris, CNP, CRNA, is helping strengthen tribal health and honor her roots every step of the way.

Though not raised on the reservation, Brittany's commitment to fortitude, service, and healing runs deep. She’s part of the less than 1% of healthcare providers who identify as Native, and she’s working to change that. Read more on the PANA Blog: https://brnw.ch/21wWiCG

With less than 1% of healthcare providers identifying as Native, representation matters. I strive to build trust, treat the whole person, and show the next generation they belong in these spaces too.
