🌟 September Caregiver of the Month 🌟

Meet Kelli! Kelli found her passion for care in high school nursing classes, and has since dedicated 17 years to caregiving. Her favorite part of her role is connecting with clients, especially those without families that may not have anyone else to visit and brighten their days. Clients love Kelli's reliability and warm personality. When she’s not caring for others, you can find her spending time with her two teenage boys. We’re so lucky to have her on our team! 💙👏

Take breaks before burnout takes over. Caregivers give so much—but you can’t give your best when you’re running on empty.

Even small moments of rest—a walk, a quiet coffee break, a few hours of respite—can restore your energy and help you show up with patience and presence. Your well-being matters, too.

Wellness Tip for Seniors:

You don’t need a gym membership to stay healthy.
Small, joyful activities—like gardening, stretching, or dancing to music—can improve balance, boost mood, and keep you moving.

The goal isn’t intensity. It’s consistency and joy.

When dementia progresses, caregivers often step into new roles—sometimes overnight. Driving, meal prep, medications, decision-making... these tasks slowly shift onto your plate. It’s a lot to carry.

You’re not alone—and you don’t have to do it all.

How do you manage the growing list of responsibilities? What helps you delegate or find support?

When a family called us midweek needing care for a last-minute weekend trip, we were ready.

We arranged coverage for three days—including two family gatherings and an overnight stay—so their loved one could travel comfortably and feel supported the entire time.

From caregivers who blended seamlessly into social settings, to others who helped with overnight prep and a smooth early-morning departure, we were honored to step in.

đź’¬ As the family put it:

"Assisting Hands literally saved my sanity... I couldn’t have done it without them.”

We’re here when you need us—especially when plans change fast.
