🚨WOMEN’S HEALTH UPDATE 🚨

For the first time in over 20 years, the FDA is removing the “black box” warning from certain hormone therapies used for menopause. This reflects growing research that suggests starting HRT before age 60 or within 10 years of menopause may help reduce the risk of heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and bone loss.

The original warning was based on older hormone types and a much older patient group. Most women begin menopause in their early 50s, not their 60s. Perimenopause typically begins between ages 40 and 45, but it may start even earlier or later for some women.

This is not about pushing one-size-fits-all solutions, it’s about ensuring women and their providers have access to accurate science, informed choices, and safe, potentially life-enhancing options.
