Helpful Tips to Avoid Unexpected Charges at Compass!
Dear Compass Client!
Know Your Insurance Benefits:
Be sure to connect with your insurance provider to stay current with your benefit requirements: copay, coinsurance, and deductible. These fees are charged to your card on file with Compass.
Has You Changed Insurance?
Please notify Compass immediately if your insurance has changed. A change in insurance my result in a new deductible. Your new insurance company may be out of Compass's network making you responsible for the full session amount ($130 per session).
Has Your Card-On-File Expired?
To avoid potential late fees for non-payment, take a moment to double-check the expiration date of the card you selected as your card on file. Has it expired? Is it due to expire? To update your card on file, please reach out to your service provider and they will send you a new Card On File form through the Therapy Note Portal.
24 Hour Cancellation Policy:
Please be aware of Compass’s strict 24 hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel the session outside of 24 hours you will be charged the full session amount ($130.00). In order to protect our service providers professional time there are no exceptions to this policy.
Missed Sessions:
Please review the Compass client contract which can be located on your Therapy Notes Portal. If a client misses 3 sessions (for any reason) they will be notified that they are in jeopardy of losing their appointment time.
Session Time:
Sessions are 45 or 53 minutes long. Therapists are expected to use the last 5- 7 minutes to complete the documentation of the session. Please note that if you are going to be more than 15 minutes late to your session your therapist may cancel your session and the cancellation fee will apply.
These policies are in place to ensure fairness to individuals and families on our waitlist, to protect clinician’s professional time, and most importantly, without commitment and consistency from both the clinician and the client, the therapeutic process can not be effective and client’s goals can not be achieved. To review all Compass policies, please refer to your Client Contract; you may also view the general contract on the Compass website: socialcompasscounseling.com/forms
