With an extremely heavy heart, we must announce the permanent closing of Legacy Drugstore at both our locations, Wright City and Warrenton. For the last few years we have fought against abusive PBM/insurances to stay open, and for the last few months struggled on finding the best path forwards.
Over the last 8 years, we have received the most amazing support from our community, our patients, local prescribers, and other businesses. We have made friends and grown our families here in a town of familiar faces.
Unfortunately, the insurance industry continues to underpay independent pharmacies and direct patients to the mail order pharmacies that they own. 2025 will see many other small pharmacies close before the end of the year
In order to provide a seamless transition for our patients, we have partnered with Walgreens to make sure everyone's prescriptions will be available and ready as needed.
If you have any questions about your prescriptions, please call Warrenton Walgreens at 636-377-2172 and they will get you taken care of.
In order to give Walgreens time to get all the prescriptions, transferred, filled and all the ducks in a row during this transition, we had to wait until today to make the announcement to the community. Our staff wishes we could have said goodbye to everyone in person today.
