Our Story

When our girls developed eczema, I became desperate to find a way to eliminate the itchy, cracked, and bleeding skin! I felt horrible for them. The creams that were prescribed sometimes increased symptoms, or simply did not offer a ton of relief. One day, while at a doctors appointment, another mother told me to try goat milk soap. I had never even heard of goat milk soap and didn’t heed the advice. Not long after, I was at an event and came across some soaps at one of the vendor’s tables so, I purchased a couple bars. It smelled good and I thought, “what can it hurt?”

After just a few uses (I am the kind of girls that needs to see quick results, I won’t stick with something if I don’t) their skin became smooth, soft, moisturized, and very opposite of the effects of eczema! The girls and I were thrilled! Eczema was painful, itchy, and unattractive. Goat milk was our biggest help! I was sold!

Not long after, our family moved out to Wright City on 14 acres. It has been our desire to honor God through a life of hardwork. The girls had horses, we bought some chickens, and I thought, “We should buy some goats and I should learn to make soap!” I was both scared and excited to try. I bought a nubian doe that was in milk as well as a couple of babies. We quickly learned how to care for the goats and how to milk.

After a few million (exaggeration) tutorials, books, and endless searches on the web, I attempted my first batch of soap. Success!! I kept learning more about oils and other raw materials, I made some tweeks, and came up with MY perfect recipe! I love making soap and experimenting with new ways of doing things. I started selling at a local Farmer’s Market and got a website.
