π₯*NEWS FLASH* New study shows bad food is really bad for you!
Turns out itβs true β bad food is not good for you and it makes you feel like crap. An important study has made headline news this past week and shows that eating processed foods puts you at risk for 32 different chronic diseases including cancer, hypertension, metabolic syndrome and fatty liver to name a few. They reported a 50% increased risk of deaths related to cardiovascular disease and an alarming 48-53% higher risk of anxiety and mental health disorders. High intake of ultra-processed foods was also found to be associated with a 21% increased risk from any cause! What is an ultra-processed food, so you know what to remove from your diet ASAP? Unfortunately, 73% of the US food supply is made up of ultra-processed foods. These include things that have more than 10 ingredients on the label with words you canβt pronounce. Consider things like instant noodles, baked goods, chicken nuggets and hot dogs, sugary cereals, candy and soft drinks. Stick to the perimeter of the store where you will find whole foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, meat, eggs, and dairy! Credit:
