The Kansas City Police Department got money from the city and the police foundation to grow its fleet of drones and expand its use of an AI information-sharing software. This and similar technology is used in departments across the country as part of a “drones as first responders” program.

Great training yesterday at Kings Gap State Park. The sUAS, (drone), Pilots were able to get a little time in the air. The K9s and their handlers conducted obedience training, a few worked a trail/ track and or an area search. The main objective for the day was basic land navigation with some compass work. Prior to that, making Ranger beads and pace count. The weather after 1500,(3PM), became much colder with gusty winds. A good reminder for our members to have the right gear for the weather.
