After cleansing, your skin should feel fresh, soft, and comfortable — never tight, dry, or “squeaky.” That tight sensation is actually a sign that your cleanser has stripped away too much of your skin’s natural oils and protective barrier.

When the barrier is compromised, skin can become dehydrated, more sensitive, and more prone to irritation, breakouts, and early aging. A good cleanser should gently remove dirt, makeup, sweat, and excess oil while keeping the skin barrier intact.
