Community providers support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) with a broad array of services from building skills in the home, such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene, to career planning and employment supports to find and maintain jobs. These community-based services are funded almost exclusively through Medicaid. Congressional leaders are discussing proposals that could significantly reduce Medicaid funding. These cuts would have devastating consequences for people with I/DD. Take action today against proposed Medicaid cuts: ancor.org/amplifier.

The people we support enjoyed a fun bowling night out! All of the houses got to mingle with one another and some got to see each other for the first time in a while! Everyone had a blast bowling the night away!

NIPD/NJ celebrated it's annual staff appreciate day this past Friday. This important day each year recognizes all of the hard work our staff do each and every day with the people we support! This year's theme was Hollywood and staff enjoyed time spent with one another and a day filled with prizes, games, and food!
In short, Thank you for all you do!!

The people we support, their families, staff members and their families, all came together this past Saturday for NIPD/NJ's annual family picnic! Everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather, food, music and each other's company!

Staff and residents of the Garfield I group home enjoyed an end of summer vacation in Atlantic City! The people we support were happy to escape the hot weather and enjoy some time near the ocean!

Earlier this month NIPD/NJ's New Milford Group Home celebrated its 25th anniversary since opening! People we support, staff, friends, and family all joined in on the afternoon celebration! Congrats New Milford!

On Tuesday, June 18th, NJACP held it’s 24th Annual NJACP STARS! Award virtually. Twenty-nine (29) individuals were honored with a STAR. NIPD/NJ was proud to celebrate one of our very own Chris Connolly who received this year's STAR award! Chris enjoyed a party celebrating with his housemates while they viewed the virtual ceremony. Congrats Chris!!
