Therapeutic coloring offers many meaningful benefits for seniors, supporting both emotional well-being and cognitive health. Coloring helps reduce stress and anxiety by promoting relaxation and mindfulness, allowing seniors to focus on the present moment in a calm, enjoyable way. It can also stimulate the brain by improving concentration, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills, which are especially important as we age. For many seniors, coloring encourages self-expression and creativity, boosting confidence and providing a sense of accomplishment. New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care is a family of boutique senior living communities for residents who need assistance with day-to-day activities or care for serious medical issues, including memory loss.

New Haven is different from other assisted living communities in that we’re small and personal—only 16 residents per home—so we can tailor our programs and our activities to the needs of our individual residents.

Best of all, our residences are designed specifically to feel like home. We’ve organized them around a central kitchen that serves as a gathering place for residents and eliminated long hallways so that everyone feels connected.
