Hillcrest Center is always doing something fun! This week July 1-3, our residents were treated to a barbecue on the beautiful deck with music, ribs, chicken, hamburgers and all the dressings, sides, and condiments to make it a delicious treat! What’s your favorite barbecue dish?

Celebration of National Nursing Home Week & Nurses Appreciation was combined at Hillcrest Center. Aurora Hospice provided water ice, soft pretzels and special treats for the nurses. It was a festive, refreshing time for the staff!

Hillcrest Center honored their first Quarterly Leading With Heart Winner on Valentine's Day - Tam Hogle! Residents and Staff cheered for Tam as it was announced she won. Tam said she could not have done it alone and thanked all who were in attendance. THAT's Leading With Heart!

Hillcrest Center celebrated Halloween with a staff costume contest judged by the Residents! Fun, festivities, high energy, and lots of laughs!

Hillcrest Center's first "Leading with Heart" winner is Tam Hogle!🎉

Tam has been working at Hillcrest since 2006. She was voted for because she takes time on her off hours to personally pamper Hillcrest Residents with manicures and haircuts. Tam said, "I do feel it is my job to help these residents to look their best and feel good. Actually, it is my privilege to do it for the residents at Hillcrest." She also shared the residents themselves have told her it feels good to be pampered.

Tam enjoys working for Genesis and said "Genesis is a good company to work for; with all the support I get I will remain to work for Genesis till I retire with the company that is my wish."
