We are looking for a Front Desk Associate to serve as our patients’ first point of contact and guide throughout their care at our clinic. The Front Desk Associate's responsibilities include checking patients in and out, collecting patient payments, scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information. If you are an organized, skilled multitasker who enjoys interacting with people, then we'd love to meet you! Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable experience for our patients. This position will start out as a part time position, with opportunity for advancement and/or expansion to full time. Our ideal candidate is someone who seeks a long term, permanent position in a company they can grow with.
Responsibilities
· Check patients in and out
· Manage the clinic's appointment schedule
· Answer the phones
· Register patients collecting necessary information (like contact details and insurance information) and set them up in our practice management software
· Welcome patients upon their arrival, collect paperwork and payments due
· Provide information about our clinic and the services provided
· Maintenance of patient files
· Patient follow-up calls and emails
· Maintain a tidy and welcoming waiting area
· Assist the physical therapists with hot/cold packs as needed
Skills
· Work experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role strongly preferred
· Experience with Microsoft Office suite and general PC computer functionality
· Ability to stay calm and friendly while multitasking
· Ability to pick up new skills and be a team player
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Understanding of health insurance verification etc. a plus!
