Snow Shoveling Safety for Seniors ❄️
Cold weather makes your heart work harder, and shoveling snow can put dangerous strain on your heart—especially if you have heart disease. Shoveling also increases the risk of falls and fractures for those with balance issues or osteoporosis.
Stay safe: go slowly, take breaks, push snow instead of lifting, dress warmly, and stop if you feel chest pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. When possible, ask for help.
