Our amazing emergency room nurses not only provide excellent care but throw a wedding in a pinch!

When bride Melissa Kellogg's big day was thrown into chaos by a seizure, the Lankenau Medical Center team pulled off an amazing impromptu ceremony for her and Derek Graham. We love how our nurses show up for patients in ways that never cease to amaze us!

Congrats Melissa and Derek!

We’re so thrilled that Bob Kelly FOX 29 of Fox 29 visited the Deaver Wellness Farm at Lankenau Medical Center to show where we grow fresh food to better the health of our patients and community. The Lankenau Medical Center Foundation Ambassadors joined members and volunteers of Women in Healthcare Philadelphia to learn about the farm and help with planting.

Attendees gained insight on how the farm supports nutrition initiatives, patient wellness programs and community access to healthy food.

We’re home to the largest robotic coronary bypass program in the United States — and we just took another step forward. ❤️

At Main Line Health, our cardiac team has successfully completed its first procedure using the next-generation da Vinci 5 Surgical System.

This milestone builds on more than 3,100 robotic procedures performed since 2005 at Lankenau Medical Center — continuing a legacy of innovation, precision and less-invasive options for patients.

Kudos to Dr. Francis Sutter, Dr. Mariano Brizzio and the entire cardiac team for leading the way.

For the first time in Lankenau Medical Center's history, a critically ill infant (born at less than one pound) and requiring support on a high-frequency jet ventilator was safely held skin-to-skin by her mother.

For the past six weeks, the baby's parents have sat in a chair between her and her twin brother's incubators. They have been able to participate in hands-on care with their babies but have been unable to hold even one of the twins because of their critical medical status.

The milestone represents the culmination of interdisciplinary collaboration, extensive staff education and simulations, meticulous planning and a commitment to family-centered care. Nurses, respiratory therapists, neonatologists and advanced practice practitioners carefully coordinated every detail with precision and safety. For this mother, it was the first opportunity to hold one of the twins - to make a connection, provide comfort, and give her hope during this fragile time.

This achievement not only highlights the advanced capabilities of our NICU but sets a new standard for what compassionate, innovative care can look like across our system.
