"I Started My Home Care Business to Help Families Like Mine — Now I’m Being Blocked."
🚫 I’ve Had to Turn Away 15 Clients — Because MCOs Are Not Accepting New Providers.

My name is Monica Jones, and I’m the owner of HomeWell Care Services — a licensed, woman- and minority-owned home care agency in Pennsylvania.

I started my business after caring for my mother and grandmother through their terminal cancer journeys. That experience changed my life — and led me to serve families in my community who need compassionate, quality care at home.
But now, I’m being blocked from doing just that.
Two major Managed Care Organizations — PA Health & Wellness and Keystone First CHC — have frozen new provider enrollment. That means I’m not allowed to serve Medicaid clients, even when I have qualified caregivers and open availability.

💔 I’ve had to turn away 15 families who reached out for help. These are people being discharged from hospitals, living alone, or left waiting too long for services they urgently need.
I’ve been actively working with local state representatives and public officials to advocate for change — because this isn’t just about my business. This is about fair access, care equity, and honoring the right of families to choose providers they trust.

✅ I’m calling on community members, leaders, and advocates to help me raise awareness and push for action.
