Working in the health care industry in the early 70s, Bob Gillette discovered an unmet need and pioneered the solution we now know as senior housing. American House Senior Living Communities was founded in 1979 to enrich the lives of seniors and their loved ones in an environment that fosters independence, compassion, quality care
and meaningful relationships.
Ahead of his time, Bob knew the key to success was the right team, so he hired for heart first, then empowered his employees with the training and tools they needed to execute with excellence. In 2008, after creating a solid foundation, he secured the growth of the business by partnering with long-time friend Dale Watchowski, President and CEO of REDICO, a full service commercial real estate enterprise.
Today, American House continues to expand its reach and strengthen its influence under Dale’s leadership. His commitment to passionate care provided by compassionate people is evident in the listening tours he conducts and the countless smiles and hugs happening in our communities across the Midwest, New England and Southeastern United States.
