We are a small, but busy, optometric practice in Grandville that is looking for someone willing to work 2-3 days a week. We need Wednesday and most Saturdays (if it's your Saturday off, then you'll work Friday) for sure, the 3rd day can be negotiated. M-F hours are 10-approx 630, Saturdays are 930- approx 500.
Duties Include the following:
orchestrating patient flow for the doctor,
scheduling patients,
answering phones and triage; making reminder phone calls,
patient check-in and check-out,
orchestrating patient referrals,
assisting the doctor,
filling out patient prescriptions and trial contact lens orders,
teaching contact lens insertion,removal, and handling classes to new wearers,
using electronic health records, and
troubleshooting and diffusing unhappy patient situations that may arise
Applicant Qualifications include the following:
outgoing personality,
exude confidence and competence,
have the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease,
possess basic computer skills,
optometric/optical experience preferred, but not necessary if applicant is a quick learner.
