At Catherine's, we believe healthcare is a human right. Over 26 years ago, we began as a volunteer-run clinic in the basement of St.

Catherine’s Health Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center providing primary medical, dental, behavioral health, and health support services. Headquartered in northeast Grand Rapids, Catherine’s Health Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center. We provide access to high quality, affordable, and compassionate health care for the underserved throughout West Michigan. Alphonsus church in the Creston neighborhood. While not directly affiliated with one religious group and no longer a volunteer-run clinic in a basement, we continue to work from the heart of our mission to provide exceptional health care for those who are most vulnerable in our community. Today, Catherine’s provides 6,500 comprehensive primary medical, behavioral health, dental, and health promotion/disease prevention services annually. Our namesake, Catherine McAuley, lived in the late 1700s and established the Sisters of Mercy. She dedicated her life to serving the poor, and we are inspired by her example of selflessness and solidarity. We serve the community through the generosity of those who share our belief that no one should have to choose between life's necessities and basic medical care.

Equipped with an exam table and medical supplies, a mobile clinic operated by Catherine’s Health Center is providing twice-weekly, on-site care for the Grand Rapids homeless population.
