VANORMAN, PATRICIA
DOVER-Patricia VanOrman, 71, of Dover, Delaware, passed away in the early morning hours of December 24, 2025.

Patricia, known to many as Pat, was born on June 2, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York, to Donald and Elizabeth Gerrity. Over the course of her life, Pat held many jobs and titles. Prior to moving to Delaware, she worked for the City of New York. After relocating, she held several positions but spent the majority of her career in Member Services at the YMCA.

When she wasn’t working, Pat devoted herself wholeheartedly to her daughters and their many activities. She was a classroom mom and recess aide, a field-trip chaperone, a Girl Scout troop leader, and a marching band bus parent—just to name a few of the countless ways she showed up for them.

Pat was well known for her many hobbies and passions. She was a lifelong New York Mets and Jets fan and could often be found enthusiastically cheering (and yelling) at the television on football Sundays. Her love for Barry Manilow knew no bounds. She loved traveling to see Broadway shows, but perhaps most of all, Pat was known for her deep love of all things Disney. She was never happier than when planning—and then flawlessly executing—a Disney trip.

McGINTY, JANE KLECK
CAMDEN-Jane Kleck McGinty, born on December 24, 1948, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at her home in Camden, DE, after bravely battling breast cancer for 24 years. Even during the most difficult parts of her illness, Jane never wavered or complained, maintaining a positive outlook and remaining her sweet, loving self. She was strong until the end, holding on to spend one more birthday celebration (on Christmas Eve) and one more Christmas with her family before her passing.

Jane was born in Oil City, PA, the youngest of five children of Walter and Agnes Kleck. She graduated from Venango Catholic High School in 1966 and began working at Northwest Bank in Oil City, where she held roles as both a clerk and secretary in the mortgage loan division.

In 1973, Jane married her high school sweetheart, Terrence, and moved to Camden, DE, where Terry worked as a high school biology teacher. Jane continued her banking career at WSFS Bank in Dover, DE, as a secretary in the mortgage department and later as a mortgage loan officer. In 1990, she left WSFS to become the principal’s secretary at Polytech High School in Woodside, DE, a position she held until her retirement in 2010. One month before retiring, Jane began her last and most cherished job as a grandmother.

Jane was known to all as a beloved, kind, thoughtful, and selfless wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She always chose to look at the bright side of things and to see the good in others.

Jane reveled in the simple pleasures of life—reading, doing crossword puzzles, taking walks, drinking a cozy cup of coffee or tea while watching her favorite TV shows, and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with Terry to visit family in PA, IN, IL, FL, DC, MD, SC, and Ireland and with her kids and grandkids to places like Myrtle Beach, NYC, Paris, Hawaii, the Grand Canyon, and Brazil. Jane was also a member of Holy Cross Church and the Irish Society of DE for many years.

Jane’s most treasured roles were as a mom and grandma, noting that her children and grandchildren made all her dreams come true. As a mother and grandmother, she was loving, nurturing, patient, calm, understanding, and supportive. She truly enjoyed every aspect of parenting and grandparenting and loved reliving her childhood through her children and grandchildren.

Jane ("Grammy/Dirsh") was over the moon spending many months caring for her grandchildren after they were born and during summers when they were home from school. She was always ready to give hugs, read a story, play a game, make believe, bake, and watch them participate in their many activities. She made everything more special. She was simply the best.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her oldest brother, Donald (Mary) Kleck of Franklin, PA; her older sister, Eileen (Sam) Pugliese of Rocky Grove, PA; her brother, Richard (Marianne) Kleck of Oil City, PA; and her in-laws, Henry and Mary Lee McGinty of Chesterton, IN.

She is survived by her older brother, Thomas (Judy) Kleck of Naples, FL; her husband, Terry; her children—Molly (John) Fieldsend of Columbia, MD; Sean McGinty of Bethesda, MD; daughter-in-law Giose McGinty of Washington, DC; Michael (Nicola) McGinty of Greer, SC; five grandchildren—Ian, Colin, and Eileen “Eily” Fieldsend of Columbia, MD, and Rhys and Hadley McGinty of Greer, SC; and her granddog, Evie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her best friend, Margie (Dennis) Dixon, and Margie and Denny's children, Tara (Patrick) Analore, Ryan (Karen) Dixon, Kyle (Natalie) Dixon, and their grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as "Mrs. M." and "MiMi."

Jane’s family would like to thank everyone who checked in, offered their love and support, and helped care for her during her illness. It was this village that helped carry her and her loved ones through this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or Delaware Hospice to support finding a cure for breast cancer and to help others through their end-of-life transition.

A visitation for Jane will take place on Tuesday January 6, 2025 at Pippin Funeral Home from 9:00am to 11:00am. A funeral mass will follow at 12:00pm at Holy Cross Church in Dover.
