The emotional literacy starts with US, the parents.

Emotional literacy is learned through observing those around us as we grow.

When parents struggle to regulate their own emotions ➡️children struggle to regulate

When parents model how they regulate their emotions ➡️ kids observe and learn to as well.

Check out this week's blog to learn more and some strategies to use at home. Mini Me Yoga classes help you and your child practice these important skills and are led by a trained educator.

How many times have you asked your child to, "use your words"?

How successful were you?

Most times when we ask this seemingly simple question, our child doesn't have the words yet. Helping our children learn about to name and process feelings isn't easy.

That's where Mini Me Yoga PA can help. Through mindfulness techniques, yoga, games, and breathwork, we help you learn vocabulary you can use with your child, and techniques to practice with you child to equip them with tools to help them when those "big emotions" hit.

❓What part of your day feels the most chaotic❓

Drop your answer below👇

As much as we try to create consistency and follow rhythms in our home, it doesn't mean every moment goes smoothly. Things happen unexpectedly, plans change, and things go awry.

That's part of living.

Creating rhythms can help minimize the chaos but there always seems to be a time of day that is more stressful than others. What's yours?

Mine?- Bedtime..... as consistent as we are with bedtime, my youngest can push buttons, delay, and avoid it like a pro. It has gotten better, but there are still times when it feels like we take 10 steps back. Being over tired, not enough movement, and many other factors can influence this. Staying calm during the chaos is hard.... and something I work on each time it pops up!
