We welcome Lauren Smith, LPC to Family Guidance Center. She brings years of experience and is also a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). She has advanced training and certification in trauma treatment and is certified in Eye-Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Lauren specializes in working with adults and adolescents over the age of 14. She utilizes a trauma informed approach with all her clients and specializes in working with individuals with PTSD, history of abuse and trauma, history of domestic violence, grief and loss, anxiety, mood disorders, depression, struggles with parenting, chronic illness, relationship challenges, and stress management. She uses an eclectic, trauma informed approach to help clients to meet their personal goals and experience meaningful changes in their lives.
