We are excited to announce the transition of Carla Eanes, MBA, to her new role as Assistant Administrator, effective August 31st. Carla began her career at Wythe County Community Hospital in 2018 as a registrar before moving into leadership roles of Patient Access Supervisor and her current role as Director of Medical Staff Credentialing and Executive Assistant. In her current role, Carla has fostered strong partnerships between physicians and hospital leadership and has led projects for implementation of new service lines and contracts. Born and raised in Wytheville, she has a strong understanding of the healthcare needs of our community.
As Assistant Administrator, Carla will serve as a member of executive leadership and will oversee multiple departments to enhance operational efficiency and delivery of quality healthcare.

We are thrilled to announce Theresa Dix, MSN, RN, CPPS, has been named chief executive officer, effective Sept. 15. Dix began her career at Wythe County Community Hospital in 1983 as a charge nurse in the ICU/CCU and later moved into leadership, taking on roles such as director of surgical services, interim medical-surgical director and house supervisor beginning in 2007. She was named chief nursing officer in 2011 and served in that role until 2019, when she served as CNO at another Lifepoint Health facility in North Carolina. She returned to Wythe County Community Hospital in 2022 to continue serving as CNO, reflecting not only her strong ties to the hospital but also her deep commitment to serving the community she calls home.

For the month of August, Wythe County Community Hospital is proud to spotlight Wythe Physician Practice Family Care on the Ridge. This clinic is home to two outstanding providers, Board Certified Nurse Practitioner’s Jill Snider and Etthan Miller.
Jill and Etthan are not new to the community, and they are certainly not new to healthcare. With years of experience, they bring a broad array of knowledge-caring for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Because they are local, they understand the unique needs of the community and are deeply committed to delivering the high-quality care their neighbors deserve.
Since joining Wythe Physician Practices, Jill and Etthan have quickly become a vital part of the team. Family Care on the Ridge is known for running efficiently and professionally, with a staff dedicated to providing compassionate and reliable care.
