Since 2022, Care Advantage has been partnering with the American Heart Association to bring greater awareness to heart health issues and educate our clients and caregivers on how they can improve their own cardiovascular health. So far in 2025, Care Advantage has raised over $22K for heart health research, with plenty of time to hit our goal of $30K!

This October, as we have in previous years, we will be participating in their annual Heart Walk, where community partners of the American Heart Association come together to walk a 5K and raise money and attention for the cause of heart health and research. We currently have 12 teams, with over 100 walkers signed up so far. We're more than halfway to our goal of walkers, so don't be afraid to sign up! We’re proud to announce the grand opening of our second Caregiver Engagement Center in Colonial Heights, VA!

This new location marks another step forward in how we support our clients and caregivers. We're reimagining our approach to care, building spaces and systems that are more responsive, more personal, and more empowering.

Opening day was full of energy and excitement. From IT Services to our Personal Care Nurses, every member of our team was eager to explore the new center and prepare to bring care to their community.

We’re ready, we’re energized, and we’re just getting started. Here’s to many more milestones ahead as we grow and serve together!

Big news! We're thrilled to announce that we officially opened the doors to our very first Caregiver Engagement Center in Ashland, VA this morning!

We’re changing our approach to care delivery to ensure our services are truly out of this world. By reshaping our locations and our model, we're putting our amazing clients and empowered caregivers at the very center of our universe.

The energy today was incredible! Our team was buzzing to see their new space and get to work connecting people to the care they deserve. We even had some wonderful clients' loved ones pop in to say hello! Exciting times are ahead as we continue to innovate and serve our community.

Our community partners at the American Heart Association want to help educate our clients and caregivers about the difference between heat stroke and stroke; knowing the difference could safe a life.

Heat Stroke vs. Stroke: Know the Difference

• Heat Stroke happens when your body overheats and your core temperature rises above 104°F.
• Stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain is blocked or bursts, cutting off oxygen. Brain cells begin to die with lack of blood and oxygen.

Many of you who are familiar with the in-home care landscape of Central Virginia will likely know Misti Zirk. Misti joined us in 2017, starting as a Home Care Specialist before moving on to her most recent position as a Regional Business Development Director. We are thrilled to announce that Misti has now taken the reins as the VP of Sales for the Central Virginia region, a role that she is absolutely made for.

Misti has established a reputation as being not only extremely knowledgeable about this area of care, but also willing to share her expertise with her peers.
