This is an image of a stye. An infection in the meibomian gland of the lid. This can be treated with hot compresses, oral antibiotics, topical antibiotics, and/or low level red light therapy.

This is an image of the meibomian gland openings on the lower eyelid. These glands make the top layer of your tears. If they get blocked you will have dry eye and will be more likely to develop a stye.
