Well new beginnings are on their way. I took the first step towards some life goals.

2026 brings
1. Going part time at my corporate job. Making more time for family and career goals
2. 2nd half marathon in February. Got to get it in before I turn 45.

Still looking for those doors for me to open. But until then I’m working on business models and trying to network.

My son started cross county and it warms my heart! He is helping motivate me to get back into training. Hoping to rule out a meniscus tear so I can train for a half in February. Any takers wanting to train as a group? The race is in Wilmington! Nice and
Flat!!!!

She isn’t Better Homes pretty nor do I have matching furniture! But she is in a little more working order. Craft side and work side. Needs a little organization and tidying. One more thing checked off the list.

Young Athletes need conditioning too. As the world of Travel sports grows, these kids are being asked to play high volumes. While kids are resilient, they are not being set up for success. We are strengthening and conditioning kids to support the volume of play they are doing.

Single sport played year round can be detrimental to a youth athlete. Overuse injuries to a developing musculoskeletal can cause permanent damage. My good friend Joe Overby recommends taking time off to focus on conditioning can ultimately make a better player. More playing volume only will not make a stronger player.

Keep your young athletes playing and healthy. Seek a trainer that works with young athletes.

I hope to offer services like this in the future. Stay tuned

I believe God is helping me see my current job is not where my soul can thrive. I am hoping in the next few months opportunities will arise and I can start the transition back into role of business owner and educators.

Please comment below physical therapy, wellness and fitness services you feel are lacking in Yadkin County or surrounding areas.

Well HEPT looks a bit different these days. While I haven’t started seeing patients yet, I am still around. Family life has taken me in a different direction. I have new thoughts and goals for the future of HEPT.

Things I do know…
1. I think I am ready to check off corporate outpatient PT from my career goals.
2. I am more interested in teaching / educating people eager to improve their lives. It is draining constantly having to sell well being to people not interested being their own solution.
3. I want to become more active in the running world as a runner and clinician
4. Some how incorporate homesteading into my practice
5. All of these things while still nurturing my family and friends.
6. Not loose myself while managing all the above.

Things I don’t know….
1. What the next step in my career looks like.
2. How to take the next step
3. When I will be ready to take a leap

I am still here! Completed first semester of my Doctoral degree! 2 more to go!!!

The world has changed so much in the past 6 months. My professional and personal. The medical field looks very different than it did when I started this venture. I am not giving up on it. I am still going back to school in August. I don’t know what Hope Elevated Physical Therapy will look like when I am done.

The uncertainty of what public school will look like, what my full time Corp job will hold for me and the emotional toll loosing my dad in March I am not in a place to peruse a second business. Hopefully this time next year my / our world will look different.

Stay accurately informed, use common sense, and keep moving forward. God is with us.
