🎉 Announcing Our 2025 Hit the Tee for Avery Scholarship Winners! 🎉

We are honored to announce the recipients of the 2025 Hit the Tee for Avery Scholarships, awarded in loving memory of Avery and in celebration of the impact his legacy continues to have.

This year’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Scholarship is awarded to Kacy Atwood from Winston-Salem State University and the Physical Therapist Assistant Scholarship is awarded to Cadence Wilkins from Surry Community College.

Each application was thoughtfully reviewed by a committee of Avery’s mom, Michelle, along with the owners of Yadkin Physical Therapy. We are truly amazed and encouraged by the heart, passion, and purpose shown by all who applied.

Avery’s legacy continues to shine brightly. God is good, and He is still using Avery’s life to make a difference in the lives of others.

🙏 Update on Luke Cain 🙏

We received an update from Matt this morning and wanted to share it with everyone who has been praying for Luke:

*“We finally got to come home very late last night — they released us. Luke is making a lot of progress and is able to walk some now, but it’s definitely not his normal. He’s walking like a newborn baby deer and has to hold on to things when he walks, but at least he is moving! They said it was transient synovitis, which is usually common after some kind of trauma or a viral infection. So I’m guessing the kick may have caused it along with the double ear infection he had. He’s still sleeping — poor guy hasn’t slept good in a few days, so he’s catching up. Hopefully he’ll be doing better when he wakes up.”*

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for Luke and the Cain family. Your prayers have truly been felt, and this progress is a reminder that the power of prayer is real and God is faithful 💙🙏

If everyone could please pray for my sweet Lukey, that would be greatly appreciated — specifically for wisdom for the people on his medical team and for pain management. Pray that we finally get some answers and that I don’t have to hurt anyone’s feelings in the process. I know the Lord is able.”

💙 Celebrating Mason 💙

We have some bittersweet news to share — our very own Mason will be leaving YPT, with her last day on November 14th.

While we typically don’t make posts when someone moves on, Mason isn’t just someone — she’s been a light to our team and our patients from the very beginning. We are truly heartbroken to see her go, but we trust that God’s plan is always perfect and He continues to guide her steps.

Mason has been such an incredible part of our YPT family. Her kindness, compassion, and joy have touched so many patients and teammates along the way. While we’re so proud of her, we’ll be honest — it’s not easy to be happy with losing a co-worker who means so much to all of us. Still, we support her decision and know that God’s plan is always best.

Mason will be transitioning into a new setting closer to home, and we’re thrilled for the opportunities ahead for her and her husband, Jared. 💕

Welcome to the world, sweet Anslee Mae Holcomb ! 💕

We are overjoyed to celebrate with our Yadkin Physical Therapy family as Julie and Colby welcome their beautiful baby girl into the world!

Born on 9/24/25, weighing 9.7 lbs and measuring 20 inches long, she’s already captured everyone’s hearts. 💗

Join us in congratulating Julie and her family on their precious arrival from the Lord — we couldn’t be happier for them! 👶✨

God is good and the Lord provided through our patients and staff. You all brought in almost 300 lbs of food for Yadkin Christian Ministries! Thank you to all who donated and for continuing to support our community!

Our wonderful neighbors, Yadkin Physical Therapy, conducted their third annual food drive for YCM. The staff and patients collected 291 pounds of food! Thank you, Julie Brittain and Caleb Hill for organizing this event. Thanks to all who participated for helping those in our community facing food insecurity.
