4 years ago today, this clinic became a reality and began serving women and families in our valley. We have learned a lot, grown a lot, and had the opportunity to serve so many wonderful individuals and love on so many babies. Thank you for supporting us on this journey.

We are honored to celebrate our two Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) this week at New Life OBGYN. Just one year ago this month, Brandi Berg and Emilie Torretta officially committed to serving our patients and the community with their midwifery skills here at our clinic. Their contribution to our team has been invaluable! As individuals, these ladies are skilled, compassionate and a joy to know. As part of our team, their contributions have helped provider greater stability, breadth and depth of care here at New Life. Thank you, Brandi and Emilie, for all that you do. We appreciate and celebrate you EXTRA this week!

1 year ago today, Emilie Torretta, CNM officially joined the New Life team. Although she didn't start to see patients until a while later, her contributions to this clinic, our team and most importantly our patients have been appreciated every day as we've all gotten to know her and see her at work. Emilie has many years of experience as a midwife, and her compassionate care is a blessing to us all. Happy 1 Yr Anniversary, Emilie! We are so glad you are a part of our team!

As our clinic continues to grow, our expanded provider base allows for better overall availability and continuity of services, better ability to triage and leave room in the schedule to address emergencies, less appointment reschedules, and better work life balance for all of our providers.

This does mean that while you may have one primary provider that you see the majority of the time, you may occasionally see one of our other providers for some of your appointments. While this applies largely to OB patients, this may at times also extend to routine GYN visits.

This will always be at Dr. Chavez' ultimate discretion and/or request.

As such, please be aware that going forward we will be scheduling some patient appointments with our midwife providers to bring better balance to the overall clinic schedule.
