Come join us for Counselor Camp 2026, Sept. 11th-13th.

Counselor Camp is an inspiring weekend conference, held in beautiful Randle WA, designed for professionals who work with youth and young adults within the broad scope of behavioral health, education, prevention and more.

We are seeking presenters who will participate and stay for the duration of the conference if possible. Presenters are offered two nights lodging and meals, 13 CEUs, and a wonderful regenerative experience at Counselor Camp for a reduced Presenter Discounted Rate of $75 (one reduced price per presentation).
The theme of Counselor Camp is Healing the Mind, Body, and Spirit. We encourage creative proposals on all topics related to youth and young adult services and engagement. Creativity is, after all, one of the best tools to help us engage this population!

Counselor Camp is a grassroots, peer-led conference and depends on professionals in the field to share their time and expertise as a means of advancement in their work. A goal of Camp is to keep costs low for participants. You are also invited to bring brochures, business cards, and other materials for display. Vendor tables will be available at no charge for presenters. If you require other support, please let us know.

13 CEUs for your general conference attendance are available plus 4 Ethics CEUs for participation in the preconference. In addition to the workshops, Camp includes opportunities to enjoy nature hikes, yoga, attend recovery meetings, visits with a Massage Therapist, arts & crafts, as well as a Saturday night campfire with s’mores!
The beautiful camp setting at the Cispus Learning Center in Randle WA provides a wonderful opportunity for rest, renewal, and healing for those doing this important work. We can’t wait to see you at Camp.

Great first Youth Hike at Ancient Lake Trail

Sundown Youth Facility had a great first hike of the year.

Keep in mind that the road leading to the trailhead will close seasonally due to snow. This trail follows scenic basalt cliffs with waterfalls and lakes along the way. Alicia Egan, The Director of Programs at Sundown M Ranch, is an engaging and knowledgeable presenter. She will be leading an interactive session of Ethics Friday at the preconference. Starting at 1:00pm

We are beyond excited to welcome Laura Smith as our Friday Night Keynote presenter. Laura is a dynamic executive leader with over 20 years of experience in organizational health, development and strategic growth. She will be helping us kick off the conference with a presentation on Reconnecting with Your Why: Practical strategies for reducing burnout.

Other workshop Topics include- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Youth (Dave Boblitt), Crisis Prevention (Isaac McGahan), Harm Reduction Integration, Trauma and the Central Nervous System, as well as workshops on the use of Adventure Education and tabletop role play games in care, just to name a few.

Finally, Camp includes opportunities to enjoy nature hikes, yoga, attend recovery meetings, visits with a Massage Therapist, arts & crafts as well as a Saturday night campfire with s’mores! The beautiful camp setting and relaxed camaraderie provides a wonderful opportunity for rest, renewal and healing for those doing this important work.

Happy St Patrick's Day.

First Youth Hike of the season and it was a good one. Ancient Lakes trail is a mostly flat and relatively short, warm-up for the season. The youth greatly appreciated the opportunity to get outdoors and spend some time in nature. It's so amazing to see them realize there's fun in recovery.
