Your Medicare card is more valuable than it looks - and worth protecting.

A few things to keep in mind:
- Your Medicare number is unique to you and should be treated like a Social Security number
- Medicare will never call you unsolicited asking for your Medicare number
- If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from Medicare, hang up and call 1-800-MEDICARE directly
- Never share your Medicare number with anyone who contacts you out of the blue
- Keep your card in a safe place - you don't need to carry it daily

Scams targeting Medicare beneficiaries happen year-round, not just during enrollment season. Staying alert is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself.

Few things mean more to us than hearing that we made a stressful process feel simple.

"Kim helped my parents find a plan that worked for them. She didn't give me the run around or a ton of back and forth. She sat down, listened to their needs, and got them squared away. Saved me SO much time of research and explaining… I'm so relieved that's one less thing I gotta worry about. Thank you, Kim!" — Miriam C.

Helping families navigate Medicare for their loved ones is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

FAQ: "I'm turning 65 later this year. When do I actually need to start thinking about Medicare?"

Earlier than most people expect. Your Initial Enrollment Period opens three months before your birthday month and runs through three months after. That's a seven-month window - and the timing of when you enroll within it can affect when your coverage actually begins.

If you're still working and covered through an employer, there are additional rules that apply to your situation.

We help people turning 65 understand their timeline and options at no cost. No pressure, just clear information.

Spring has arrived in the Yakima Valley, and with it comes a great reminder to shake off the slower pace of winter.
A few simple ways to ease into the season:
- Take a walk along the Yakima Greenway on a mild morning
- Open windows to let fresh air circulate through your home
- Revisit your daily routine - small changes in sleep, hydration, and movement add up
- Schedule any doctor visits you've been putting off since the holidays
- Connect with neighbors or friends at local parks and community spaces

Spring is a natural reset. Take advantage of it.

This means so much to me.

My goal has always been simple, to make sure you understand your options and feel confident in the decisions you’re making. Medicare can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be when you have someone walking through it with you.

I truly care about helping you find what fits your situation best, not just what looks good on paper.

Thank you, Phil & LaDonna, for trusting me.

Planning Ahead for Spring Travel

As weather improves, many people start planning trips to visit family or explore the Pacific Northwest. If you're considering travel, a few simple steps can help you prepare:

👉Keep a list of your current medications and dosages with you
👉Bring enough prescription medications for your entire trip, plus a few extra days
👉Know whether your Medicare plan has coverage limitations outside your area
👉Carry your Medicare card and any additional insurance cards
👉Keep emergency contact numbers easily accessible

Taking time to prepare helps you enjoy your travels with peace of mind.

Prescription Drug Coverage: Understanding Your Formulary

If you have Part D prescription drug coverage, your plan uses a formulary - a list of covered medications organized into tiers. Each tier has different costs, and not all medications are covered by every plan.

Your plan's formulary can change annually, which is why reviewing your coverage matters. If you find that your medications are no longer covered or have moved to a higher cost tier, there are times during the year when you may be able to make changes.

We help you understand how your medications are covered under different plans. Give us a call: (509) 321-4227
